As a world-renowned training and further education academy, we have been offering our more than 250 member companies, well-known confectionery and food manufacturers in Germany and abroad, individual training programs since our foundation in 1951.

From school-based training and internships to seminars and congresses, our spectrum of confectionery production know-how is wide-ranging. We also advise companies around the world on process optimization and support product development with test series.

Who we are – ZDS e. V. The Zentralfachschule der Deutschen Süßwarenwirtschaft e. V. was founded in Solingen in 1951.
As a leading institution, we offer training courses, test series and further education for our member companies as well as training and further education for the food and confectionery industry.
Our range of courses includes training as a “confectionery technologist”, preparatory courses for the “certified industrial foreman” and the opportunity to combine the vocational part of various dual courses of study with a Bachelor’s degree.
Have you completed vocational training and ideally already have experience in graphic design, print and marketing?

What you bring with you:

  • Very good knowledge of German at native speaker level
  • Written and spoken English (business fluent)
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Ideally knowledge of video shooting and editing

Your new employer: ZDS, founded in 1951, is the world’s most renowned training and further education institute for all areas of the confectionery industry. Every year, participants from over 30 countries attend specialist conferences, seminars and practical courses on all aspects of confectionery production. The ZDS also advises companies from a wide range of countries and conducts company-specific training courses and test series for member companies. The ZDS provides training in the professions of “confectionery technologist” and “food technology specialist”. In the area of further training, the “state-certified food technician” is offered full-time and preparatory courses for the “certified industrial foreman”. Since 2016, it has been possible to complete the vocational part of various dual study programs with a Bachelor’s degree “. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a project manager for the seminar/member service areaYourtasks:

  • Support with annual program planning
  • Promotion of the events
  • Speaker and participant acquisition
  • Hotel reservations / agreement on hotel contingents /
  • Checking the speakers’ hotel and travel expense claims
  • Creation and evaluation of surveys and statistics
  • Data maintenance
  • Preparation and recording of advisory board meetings
  • Stand staffing at trade fairs
  • Independent acquisition of new association members and support of the Managing Director in the acquisition of new members and image cultivation
  • Responsible for communication between existing members and potential members (incl. invoices / reminders / membership applications, terminations, …)
  • Designing, coordinating and also responsibly conducting seminars Familiarization with relevant subject areas, researching new subject areas

What you bring with you:

  • Completed commercial training

We are looking for a freelance lecturer (m/f/d) on a fee basis for the training course for certified industrial foremen in confectionery and food.

Your tasks:

  • Preparation for the IHK exam
  • Teaching according to the existing curriculum
  • Lesson times from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
  • The courses are taught in blocks, one course consists of 4 blocks of 3 or 4 weeks each, spread over approx. 15 months
  • Total scope: 55 lessons (45 minutes each with 3.5 lesson blocks per day)

Prerequisite:

  • Completed university degree or equivalent educational qualification
  • Practical professional experience in the subject area to be taught
  • First experience (e.g. as a trainer, teacher or instructor) in conducting lessons
  • Interest in digital and modern education
