Honoring outstanding talent in the confectionery industry

We are delighted to announce that Laura Hillbring has received the BDSI sponsorship award as the best graduate of the “Food Technology with a focus on Baking and Confectionery Technology” course.

The award was presented at the BDSI Annual General Meeting on 06.06.2024 in Rostock-Warnemünde, where the three best trainees in the “confectionery technologist” apprenticeship of the 2023/2024 graduating class at ZDS Solingen were also honored:

 

  1. Jonas Thiele (long-life baked goods) – Conrad Schulte GmbH, Rietberg
  2. Juliana Schröter (chocolate and confectionery) – Lindt & Sprüngli GmbH, Aachen
  3. Philipp Wilsdorf (sweets and confectionery) – August Stork KG, Halle (Westf.)

 

The “confectionery technologist (m/f/d)” apprenticeship covers the production of luxury foods such as chocolate bars, sweets, cookies, ice cream and potato potato chips. Trainees monitor and operate industrial equipment from raw material preparation to packaging the finished products.
