Advantages of ZDS membership
The member service combines all services for our member companies, such as advice on specialist issues, recording requests and topics or networking with other stakeholders
The department’s team is also the first point of contact for new members such as start-ups or industry-related companies. As a member, we are happy to advise you on topics such as the promotion of vocational training, trainee acquisition or product development.
The Association of the Central College of the German Confectionery Industry currently has around 230 members from the confectionery and food sector and its supplier industry.

Our specialist teachers are there to help and advise you! We will also be happy to put you in touch with a contact from our extensive ZDS network quickly and easily.

Whether online, at your premises or at the ZDS – take advantage of company-specific training and advice from our specialist instructors!
3. use of the technical facilities and equipment of the ZDS
Would you like to develop a new product and don’t have the right machines or capacity available in your production facility? No problem – we offer members the exclusive opportunity to use our technical center with its extensive range of production equipment.
4. communication and presentation platform
Whether at international congresses, one-day seminars or practical courses: as a member of the ZDS, you can display your brochures in designated areas, be requested as a priority at our exhibition platforms or shine as a speaker with your specialist knowledge.
5. Support for industrial product development
ZDS specialists support you in the development of new products – be it to improve or adapt product quality, to avoid production errors or to implement new processes. Many confectionery products can be produced on a laboratory and industrial scale in our pilot plants.
Exclusively for members: individual training courses and projects
We offer member companies the exclusive opportunity to use our technical departments for individual training courses and projects and to benefit from the expertise of our specialist instructors. The ZDS has the following state-of-the-art specialist departments for this purpose:
– Chocolate
– Confectionery/gum and jelly products
– Confectionery
– Dragees/chewing gum
– Fine baked goods and snacks
– Ice cream
In consultation with the member company, the ZDS technical instructors, supplemented by external specialists if necessary, create specific test arrangements or training programs and then carry out the planned measure exclusively. It goes without saying that advice and training, especially in the case of trials and product developments, are subject to absolute confidentiality and secrecy.
Depending on the scope of the private measure, specific offers are prepared for the so-called AP measures, which take into account both personnel and material costs. Billing takes place after the measure has been carried out.
Several hotels are available for the accommodation of participants in such events, where rooms can be booked at special ZDS rates.
